Carnival Cruise Lines’ Crown Princess cruise ship landed in San Pedro after a weeks-long trip, holding 172 people who suffered from norovirus, the Washington Post reported on November 16.
This is the second time this year that people on that same ship were infected with the norovirus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The cruise ship was boarded by over 4,100 people, who were met by CDC staff when the ship docked .
Crown Princess spokeswoman Susan Lomax said the cruise ship went through a stringent disinfecting process after it docked.
